Prescribed burning is a useful tool in managing the native areas at the facility. By preforming these burns we not only remove last seasons plant material, but suppress exotic weeds and cool season grasses, and create a healthier enviroment with nutrients and soil temperature for the desired warm season grasses and wild flowers. This is also benifitial in the prevention of wild fires throughout the dry summer months. Below are some examples of what the burning process looks like from spring burn to fall flowering of the tee complex on hole number two.
