Lake AuSable
A man-made lake located on Forest Dunes property is a 27 acre lake, 28 foot deep at its deepest point. This beautiful and tranquil lake offers many activities away from the course.

Lake AuSable fishing all year long!
Lake AuSable is home to many species of inland lake fish and available for fishing in all seasons. Try bait fishing, fly fishingor ice fishing! Fishing equipment and bait are available, complimentary for members and resort guests. Please inquire at the Golf Shop.

Hiking, Biking and Nature Trails
Marked trails will be opening on and around Forest Dunes property Summer 2008. These trails will allow for both hiking and biking and will vary in length and difficulty level. A few designated trails will be marked to inform and educate on local flora and fauna.

Enjoy a day on the shores of Lake AuSable!
Located on Forest Dunes property, Lake AuSable is beautiful with sandy beaches and crystal clear water.

Now open to members and resort guests! Our 520 square foot fitness center, located on the second floor of the clubhouse, features the latest in Cybex workout equipment. Personal yoga classes are also available by appointment only.

Fly Fishing - Guided Fly Fishing Tours are available on the famous AuSable River.

Casino Outings - Ready to try your luck? We will schedule a Casino Trip for you and your guests to one of many casinos in the area, many within an 1 1/2 hour drive!

Snowmobiling - Hundreds of miles of groomed trails are conveniently located near Forest Dunes. We also can arrange rental and delivery of snowmobiles to Forest Dunes for your convenience.

Cross country skiing - Many local trails are available, and groomed trails will be open at Forest Dunes in 2008. Enjoy a refreshing day in the beautiful Northern Michgan snow!

Snowshoeing - Follow miles of trails and watch for local wildlife!

Horseback Riding - Let us arrange for an afternoon of riding with a local stable.

Canoeing the AuSable - Hour trips, half day, full day and overnight canoe trips are available locally to drift down the beautiful AuSable River. Let us make the arrangements for you!

Hunting - Check with the Golf Shop for season openings and areas available for hunting many kids of wildlife.
